Conducting an interview for a position within a growing company can seem like a daunting task. You need to ask enough questions during the interview process to make sure you are choosing the candidate that will work best with your existing team.

We've developed some helpful interview questions that will help you, the next time you're hiring.

  1. Tell me a little about yourself. What’s your story?
  2. Why are you applying for this job?
  3. Why did you or are you planning on leaving your current job?
  4. What job have you enjoyed most in your life and why?
  5. Can you tell me something about how you feel your work experience to date will help you in this job?
  6. How would you handle a customer with a complaint about one of your fellow employees?
  7. How would you describe your work style?
  8. What things do you not like to do?
  9. What motivates you?
  10. What frustrates you?
  11. ) What are your strengths?
  12. What are your weaknesses?
  13. What three characteristics would your friends use to describe you?
  14. What personality types do you work best with and why?
  15. What characterizes a good boss from your view point?
  16. What do you like to do for fun?
  17. What do you anticipate the hardest part of this job would be for you?
  18. Put these six qualities in order from most important to lease important:
    • Likable
    • Self-Motivator
    • Team Player
    • Honest
    • Ability to Follow Direction
    • Professionalism
